New Year, New Me

I was at work yesterday and I saw that my director had shaved his beard. I. Was. Shocked. I've known him for over a year and he's always had a prominent beard, a little bit hipter-ish for a (about) 40 year-old grown man, but it looked nice on him. My point is, he looked 10 years younger, dynamic as always and ready for the new year to come."New Year, New Me", right?

That made me think of those people always criticizing New Year's resolutions. You know what I'm talking about. For me, a new year can be a motivation to do better and to discover more about yourself and the people around you. Even though most people don't follow through with their resolutions, and that's what's been most criticized, not everyone can decide to start something "like that", in "this" moment. Thus, a New Year is amazing because it provides great motivation for people.

As for me, I'm beginning an internship in January, I have a new haircut (chopped off 32 cm of hair for Pantene Beautiful Lengths) and I'm ready to start anew and just learn about things. Life is mysterious and wonderful.

I hope that everyone reading this will enjoy every moment, work hard for what you want in life, be thankful for what and who you have. And if you still don't know what you want, don't worry, you'll find it eventually.

Be nice to your friends and family and be good and right and amazing. Be a better you.

I wish you a Happy New Year!

Very excited for WGM (because of Kim So Eun and Song Jae Rim)

Oh! Bonjour. Hi.

I had to make a post about it.

People who read my blog may already know that I'm a drama lover. Last week, I've discovered that Kim So Eun (actress: Boy Over Flowers and Liar Game) and Song Jae Rim (actor: The Moon That Embraces the Sun and Surplus Princess) would be paired for the show We Got Married, a variety "reality" show where they would have to act as a couple. I love these actors and I've watched some of their works, so them being together in that show makes me so excited !

I stopped watching WGM after Kang Sora (actress: Doctor Stranger) and Leeteuk (singer: Super Junior) quit, but this new addition to the show is getting my attention, and I'm definitely going to be watching the first episode this monday (hope it will be subbed by then), and surely the other ones (at least their segment) :)

Love these 2 movies

Today, I'll introduce my two favourite movies of all time. I do admit that they are very subjective choices, I know that. I love them, not because they are the best movies ever made in the movie industry (don't think that's the case), but because they have a special place in my heart, and I really can't imagine not having them on my shelves. I'm talking about A Cinderella Story (2004) and Pride and Prejudice (2005).

A Cinderella Story is a remake of THE Cinderella story, but made in the present world. It's the movie I always go back to, and I can never get bored of it. Of course, I've grown up watching Lizzie McGuire, so what else can you expect ? Hilary Duff is amazing.

A Cinderellation Story (2004)

I wouldn't say that Mr. Darcy is very handsome, but he melts my heart every time I see his eyes lost in love with just the thought of Elizabeth. I read the book from Jane Austen before I even knew of the existence of the movie, and I loved it. The movie? Amazingly well done. Great love story, a memorable one.

Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Have a nice day!

Youtubers I've been liking recently

Bonjour,

Today, I'll recommend you some youtubers that I think should have more subscribers because they are awesome! I'll skip the popular ones since you are most likely already subscribed to them :)

1. MelSoldera

MelSoldera is a youtuber from Montreal who does a lot of fashion videos including haul videos, favorites, collections, designer bags reviews, and she also do videos related to the behind the scenes of the fashion industry, which I find very interesting. She is also the founder of Cocktails And Luxury, a sales company. MelSoldera is very driven business woman and motivates and inspires me in a lot of ways.

Here's the latest video she's done, which is a fashion industry Q&A (quite long, but interesting):

2. Elle Florence

Elle Florence is yet another Canadian youtuber (we love them, don't we) (she has become Canadian) and she is also a lawyer in Vancouver. She does a lot of designer bag hauls and reviews and I find her haul videos great because I love her style. She also does those interesting videos about the history of things in fashion.

Here's a video where she talks about the history of high heels:

3. Chloé Zadori

Chloé Zadori is another Canadian youtuber and she is from the province of Quebec just like me. She's a university student who does videos about fashion and beauty, and she does them in both French and English! She has a lot of OOTD, tutorials and hauls.

Here's a Lady Like-Clarins themed tutorial video she did recently:

4. Beautycakez

Okay, so I'm sure you already know Sylvia from Beautycakez but I just needed to include her, haha. She is currently residing in Toronto and working in the markting industry. Beautycakez does a lot of fashion videos and also life Q&As, which I adore.

Here's a video about what's in her work bag:

5. 밴쯔

Okay, so this one is a little bit weird, but I'm totally assuming it. This korean guy, I don't really know how to spell his name, has a live stream everyday where he eats a large (enormous) amount of food in front of a camera and responds to comments because yes, a lot of people actually watch him everyday. He later uploads the video on youtube. From what I've hear, he actually makes a lot of money from just eating in front of a camera. I think it's very entertaining since you discover a lot of different Korean meals, and even though I don't understand a word he's saying, I sometimes watch his videos while doing something else and often skip parts because, well, his videos are very long. I'm also not watching everyday, it doesn't go to such extent... It's called Mokbang, currently trending in South Korea, and I understand why ;) Don't judge me :P (disclaimer: some people may be grossed out)

Here's a video where... he eats Korean food:

So here you go! Hope you enjoyed this post!
Have a good day!

Wishtrend.com experience (review) / WISH BOX (No.17) X KLAIRS

Oh! Hello you,

Today, I'm sharing my experience shopping on Wishtrend.com with you guys! As you may or may not already know, Wishtrend.com sells korean cosmetics and I have known about the website for a while now because of their Youtube channel WISHTrendTV (here) where they talk about Korean cosmetics and give beauty tips. I only made my first purchase 2 weeks ago, and that's what I'm going to talk about.

As I've said previously, I made my first purchase 2 weeks ago, and I received it within a week via EMS (I live in Canada by the way). My order was tracked. I bought the Wishbox No.17 X KLAIRS (here), which is still on sale for USD44.50 (instead of USD93.96), and since it was my first order, I had a 5$ voucher and free shipping over 40$! So it wasn't so expensive knowing it came with 4 full sized products. The shipping was fast and the price was good, so it was a nice experience overall. Also, the packaging was very lovely and it also came with free samples. What not to love?

I don't know if it is because of their Youtube channel, their good looking website, the free samples, the 5$ voucher or the free shipping, but I'm very pleased about it all and I'm glad I supported Wishtrend.com by making a purchase. I might make another one when the time comes.

I have never tried KAIRS products before but they have pretty good reviews on the website. I thought I'd give it a try! :)

Here are the pictures I took:

What it looked like when I opened the package.

The free samples.

Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask (free gift).

Rich Moist Soothing Cream (50 ml).

Rich Moist Soothing Serum (50 ml).

Supple Preparation Facial Toner (150 ml).

Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF40, PA++ (40 ml).

I may update this post (or make another one) with a review of each product. I have already tried the BB cream and I like it a lot, but I'm going to wait for the winter season to try the other products because they all seem very rich (too much for summer).

Also, they have a Friend Invitation Rewards Program, so (only if you want to) here's my invite link https://www.wishtrend.com:48598/?s=09805104 and my promo code 09805104 if you want to get a $5 voucher after your first purchase and another 5$ voucher everytime I make a purchase! :)

Have a good day!
